Albert "Beanie" Rhode

In the thirties, he and Evelyn visited Indiana and brought Mickey Mouse watches. Before flying was common, and during the depression people just didn't make the trip across country very often. In later years, Dorothy (Beanie's sister) and her husband, Ralph visited Beanie and Evelyn several times in California. Beany had a love for life, fun living and a friend to all. He loved sports of all kinds especially golf which he played weekly and was also known to spend a little time in Las Vegas at the crap table. Fifteen years after they were married, in l943, Beanie and Evelyn were blessed with a baby boy, David. The picture of the family at Ralph and Dot's in Indianapolis was probably when David was about 4 or 5.
